There is a lot of conflicting information out there on how to feel better with autoimmune disease. 

      

When most of us attempt to make diet and lifestyle changes, we get confused and overwhelmed.

You don’t need a strict diet/lifestyle, more discipline, or perfect circumstances to feel better.

I was diagnosed with autoimmune disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis) after years of suffering with chronic inflammation. 

As an RN with a demanding job, I found making changes to my diet and lifestyle extremely challenging and was “on and off” healthy habits for years. I felt debilitated with my pain, fatigue, and brain fog. But I also felt debilitated with never ending work stress and strict diets that took away my comfort foods. 

Eventually when my inflammation prevented me from getting pregnant, I decided I had to figure this out. 

And I did…with one shift that created the simplicity I needed.

I learned how to work WITH my brain and my body, instead of trying to “fix” them. 

Since then, I have been symptom free from my autoimmune disease for 6 years. And I have brought 3 babies into this world!

Step #1

We make a simple, doable plan for you.

We will look at your current health and life and create a personalized plan for decreasing your inflammation quickly and long term. 

Step #2

We create your own way of eating.

Using the AIP diet process, we will eliminate potentially inflammatory foods for a temporary amount of time. Then, we will reintroduce them back into your diet, allowing us to see how your body reacts to each food. 

This creates a way of eating that allows you to eat as many different foods as possible, while feeling your best. 

Step #3

We decrease your stress.

I’ll teach you how to manage your brain so you can be in control of how you handle everything in your health and life. You will learn to live your life, having positive and negative thoughts and feelings- without putting your body in fight/flight mode. 

Step #4

We support your decreased inflammation with healthy habits.

We will create a strategy of healthy living to support keeping your inflammation down. This includes great quality sleep, exercise that serves you, and supplements if you choose.

Step #5

We create a life you love.
