Are You Afraid of Instability?

In case you haven’t noticed, 2020 is a little messed up.

People are avoiding infection from COVID-19 but unfortunately, almost all of us have been infected with FEAR.

Fear of getting sick from corona virus.

Fear of losing money from lost jobs and a decreasing economy.

Fear of an unknown future.

I’ve noticed that there are two kinds of people in the world. And unstable times like these bring out the differences between these types of people.

The first is the kind that defines themselves BY THE WORLD around them. They define themselves by how much money they have, where they like to go on vacation, what they do for a living, and who they are friends with.

The second kind defines themselves by HOW THEY SHOW UP in the world. They define themselves by their personal talents, skills, and characteristics that they contribute, such as their creativity, problem-solving skills, leadership, and kindness.

Defining yourself from within allows you to have stability in an unstable world.

You are not dependent on the world to know who you will be in the future.

Having an autoimmune disease has taught me that.

I may not know exactly what my body will do the rest of my life. I do know that I will take care of my body the best way I can! Health is not something I take for granted.

I choose to define myself by what I bring to the world despite my health.

I define myself by my ability to teach, entertain, and help others improve their health. No matter what happens in the world, that won't change.

No matter what happens in the world, YOU will always be YOU.

How do you define yourself from within?
